Lagerfeld and the Calendario Pirelli 2011

Mr. Karl Lagerfeld has been busy shooting the 2011 edition of the Pirelli Calendar, this year featuring the absolutely lovely Julianne Moore as well as models like Daria, Abbey Lee, Freja, Erin Wasson, Magdalena Frackowiak and Lara Stone. The theme of this year's calendar is Greek gods and goddesses and for the first time ever, features men as well as women.

Below is a video of the making of the Calendario Pirelli, followed by some of the final shots. The video could use a soundtrack (Tellier?) but it's interesting to see one of the biggest creative fashion thinkers in the world do his job, and just as interesting to see the models produce their books. Oh, right, it does have quite a bit of nudity so if you're a child please avert your eyes.

Speaking of Karl Lagerfeld, ever seen his short film Remember Now?

Essentially some models dance around and have a nice time. That's about it. Given his talent and resources, I'd expect a little more. However, his cameo at the end is a beauty. Anyway, that's enough of Karl for the day...
